Dosage

  • For optimal grass production: 900kg/ha
  • For maintaining herbs: 300kg/ha

Try to divide the dosage into 2 to 3 applications per year to prevent an overdose of minerals.

Use

You can spread the organic fertilizer pellets using a spreader or by hand.
Ideally, apply the first dose in early spring as soon as you can access the pasture. This way, the soil receives nourishment at the onset of the warm sunrays.

More about organic fertilizer pellet

The organic fertilizer pellet is a healthy and environmentally friendly fertilizer made from animal manure and plant residues. It contains a high amount of organic matter, providing nutrition for the soil life. It continuously improves the quality of the soil and pasture, promoting the build-up of humus. The horse pasture experiences increased microbiological activity, better structure, and improved oxygen and water retention. It also stimulates the development of grass and/or herb roots. This allows the grass to absorb and make nutrients from the soil more available for your horse. Unlike artificial fertilizers that can acidify the soil, organic fertilizers release natural minerals slowly over time. This prevents the soil from receiving an overdose of released minerals and helps maintain a balanced soil ecosystem. The organic fertilizer pellet releases just the right amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium for high grass yields. Additionally, it contains various trace elements (Fe, Mn, B, Mo, Zn, and Cu) to sustain long-term soil fertility.

Warning

Avoid the use of synthetic fertilizers (produced through chemical processes) at all times. They can lead to a toxic overdose of a limited number of minerals that are released massively into the soil. As a result, the soil loses other important minerals and quickly accumulates deficiencies. These deficiencies lead to the breakdown of humus and soil life. Consequently, you will have an infertile soil with poor water retention and limited availability of nutrients for the grass. Restoring the soil can certainly be done, but it is a process that takes several years.

There is a legal grazing waiting period of 21 days after the application of organic fertilizers (Article 11, paragraph 1, subparagraph c of Regulation (EC) No. 1069/2009).

Additional

We recommend conducting a soil analysis on your pasture every 3 years so that you can fertilize your pasture effectively. Each pasture is unique and requires proper care.

We can perform a soil analysis on your pasture to determine its specific needs and identify any deficiencies if present.
