Your animal needs a healthy soil and pasture. Lava grit is a biological soil conditioner full of natural minerals that we use to optimize soil fertility and soil life sustainably. Since WWII, humans have added more acid (fertilizer) to the soil than nature has done in ten thousand years! This has led to a shortage of several important trace elements in almost all soils and therefore a strong decline in overall soil fertility.

With lava grit, we can rebalance the acidified soil and pasture full of deficiencies within 3 to 5 years. To achieve complete restoration, we recommend continuing to work with lava grit annually. In combination with organic fertilizers, you can completely replace the application of chemical fertilizers and liquid manure. Additionally, you'll get all the extra positive effects of lava grit for free. For example, lava grit provides more magnesium, selenium, copper, zinc, calcium, and other minerals and trace elements in the grass and also provides better resistance to diseases.

Lava grit has a pH-raising effect and, therefore, also replaces lime. When applying lime, you add calcium and magnesium, but other trace elements will be extracted from the soil. Lava grit provides a high dose of varied minerals and trace elements that cannot be washed out.
