Dosage

50 to 200 kg per hectare per year. Can be applied at any time, divided into one or multiple applications.

  • Sandy soil: up to 200 kg per hectare per year
  • Loamy soil: up to 150 kg per hectare per year
  • Clay soil: up to 80 kg per hectare per year

Usage

When applying before or during the summer, you enhance the palatability of the otherwise tough summer pasture. Celtic sea salt can be spread on the pasture by hand or with a spreader.

Since the salt is moist, it may not always flow smoothly through the spreader. Alternatively, the salt can be dissolved in water and sprayed onto the pasture.

More about Celtic sea salt

Of all salts, Celtic sea salt has the lowest sodium chloride content, making it the mildest and most gentle sea salt in the world. This is due to the ancient Celtic salt harvesting process, which is over two thousand years old.

The essential minerals are found in mature grass. Horses grazing on short pastures often experience mineral deficiencies because young grass has difficulty retaining minerals. By administering Celtic sea salt, you help the grass retain minerals and trace elements better. Additionally, salt on the pasture enhances the palatability of the grass.

Sodium, magnesium, and sulfur are the key components, along with numerous other natural minerals and trace elements.

Extra

If you are unsure whether the soil has a deficiency or excess of salt, we can always conduct a soil analysis on your pasture to determine the precise salt content and identify any other deficiencies.
